Village Government
The Village of McCook is a Home Rule form of Government. It consists of a Mayor, Village Clerk and six Village Trustees.
Village Board meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month (unless a holiday falls on that day, the meeting shall be the Tuesday following) at 6:00 p.m. located in the Village Board Room at 5000 Glencoe Avenue, McCook, Il 60525.
Clerk’s Office – Administration
The Village Clerk’s Office handles the day-to-day operations for the Village Board and Administration. Within the Clerk’s Office some of the responsibilities include:
- Keeper of the Records and Village Seal
- Maintenance of the Village Code of Ordinances
- Human Resources
- Finance Department
- Requests for Freedom of Information Requests

Real Estate Transfer tax
To fulfill the requirements for “Real Estate Transfer Tax” you must complete the “Real Estate Transfer Tax Form” in its entirety. All forms must be sent to the Clerk’s Office a minimum of 48 hours in advance in order to be reviewed. Please follow all instructions for submission outlined in the form.
